Nature of the work we deliver
We work for our clients in a wide variety of ways within the ICT services in which we specialise. We are specialists in managing and supporting deployments, migrations and refresh projects, at times end-to-end, starting from the top with consultancy for master plans, managing the projects and our assigned resources through all stages, down to staging/production, logistics and warehousing.
We can deliver all facets of a deployment, be that large or small, sensitive or complex. We can provide business and technical support from consultancy to hands on and interim management. We offer our sales and technical expertise to assist our clients to win bids. We also know how to define, structure, manage and resource a Project Management Office and other critical mission support functions. On many occasions we make use of our in-house and other associated facilities and at times we secure regional facilities when necessary to deliver a project at the lower cost. Many of our larger projects are UK wide. In addition we are regularly contracted to do a variety of ICT ad hoc work, in particular in the education segment.
The way we work
We tend to work supporting our clients’ programme and project managers. We take a view of the work or service within an end to end context. Where possible we will undertake a Project Definition Workshop (PDW), jointly with our clients and their customers, to look at all aspects of a project whilst gaining as much awareness of the project objectives as the circumstances may permit. In due course we will enter into a mobilisation phase to gain further understanding of needs leading to the creation of the Project Initiation Document (PID) and then, proceed to put in place the required structure to make the deployment project a success, within predefined objectives, time lines and price points.
We adopt a very thorough approach. All deployment and migration projects will start with a Project Induction Workshop (PIW), for all engineers and other practitioners participating in the projects. During the PIW, an overview of all facets of the project is given. CRM (Client Relationship Management) and customer care techniques at the point of service are addressed in context with each project, together with the sharing of all relevant aspects of the project with the resources responsible for delivering the services. Awareness is thus created and commitment to the goals is gained. Everyone present is then made aware of the corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
